Abstract The synchronization time in the coupled discontinuous maps is investigated. results show that of systems exhibits a non-monotonic behaviour as coupling strength increases. Moreover, coexistence attractor, which consists period state and one, found, it riddle basin character. initial conditions systems, close to boundary can lead long quasiperiodic transient, trajectory jumps from one region another phase space.
